Croatan Forest

For the past few days, our friend Kartik, from India, has been visiting. On Sunday, we took him to the Croatan Forest to see some woodpeckers, and it was a dynamic walk:

Linden demonstrated her big-sister abilities by taking Jemma's hand and walking her along the path, despite Jemma's protestations at not being carried.

As rarely happens these days, Jemma passed out in Lisa's arms towards the end of the walk.

It took three days, but Linden finally warmed up to Kartik, who missed his own son, Vishak.
